  The lens is very heavy and unwieldy, and probably defective. Images at 500 mm are invariably blurry, with objects showing an odd refractive border.
  
  That aside, it's extremely soft, and even pictures taken in good lighting conditions bear a striking resemblance to porridge.
  
  Recommendations: Save up for a Sony telelens!
