I have very long hair all the way down to my waist, so you can imagine that my biggest issue is vacuuming is usually that hair gets wrapped around the roll and impossible to dig free from the brushes. This vacuum has something called power fins, which doesn't completely prevent the hair from being caught around the roll. But what little hair does get caught is so much easier to remove than when it's all tangled around in a crap ton of brushes. So basically I think I had about 10% of the long hair on the carpet actually get trapped on the roll, and I just grabbed some scissors, I cut it, and it sucked it right in. Normally I'm looking at like 100% of my hair getting stuck on the roll so, reduced to 10%? Awesome. I'm also disabled so I need a vacuum that's very lightweight. I don't mind having to empty the canister 10 times if need be, because I can't carry a big vacuum around the house. This one is definitely a small canister and just doing my upstairs hallway and my stairwell. I had to empty it three times. Although to be fair, this is the first time I've been able to vacuum in about 3 months since my vacuum cleaner was broken and we couldn't afford to buy a new one, so that's probably why I had to empty it so much. At any rate, I'm very happy with his purchase and I highly recommend anyone who's looking for a good quality stick vacuum that's lightweight has great suction and doesn't get hair stuck in the roll.
