Customer Review

This timer is not rainproof as promised on its bottom side, not even snowproof! After being used outdoor for a few days in below zero temperatures, when temperature rose above zero, enough moisture got inside to wet its printed circuit board, and cause it malfunction - the timer was rapidly going through all its settings in an infinite loop.
After opening it, and drying thoroughly, it started to work again.
But it can apparently function only in a place sheltered from elements as I was using it before since I have purchased it a year ago.
So it is not a real outdoor timer as advertised!
The problems may be sub-zero temperatures. As the timer generates internal heat during its operation, condensation of any vapors that get inside occurs on all the internal components when outside temperature varies around zero. It was surprising how much water accumulated inside after relatively short period with no rain, just enough snowfall. and the timer was relative well wrapped in plastic, so that the sensor was exposed to the light. Maybe it is better not to shield the timer at all in such conditions?
