I am using it to play all kind of files from PC using downloaded from SMSL website ASIO driver.
Flac, DSD,MQA etc.
Also I am using optical input to direct sound from Sony Blue-ray player for 2 channel stereo CDs and SACDs to stereo amp. ( Sony doesn't have good sounding dac built in and sounding thin compare to SU-1)
I tried coaxial and it is working too without any problems.
I like that you can switch this dac on and of with multifunction one big button on the front when not using.
I have two different iFi Zen Dacs and they stay on all the time unless you disconnect cable which is inconvenient.
Sound is good same as with Ifi products but little different functionality.
Depends what your needs are.
