Now that I'm using it in winter time, I thank myself for that decision. Its really practical and cheap to do. I've connected that outlet to the engine block heater.
I must point out though that I've added a screwing disc, having holes matching the NOCO outlet screw pattern, underneath the plastic trim. That way, the screws are much more secure threading through nearly 1/2 inch of material. Still, this is a nice product worth considering.
