This movie is surprisingly funny, and is easily one of my favourites. The comedy is nearly adolescent, but never juvenile, and is saved by a remarkably sophisticated charm. If you were an adolescent during the 1970s and/or 1980s, you'll absolutely appreciate much of the humour; however, I think if you are a younger person you might have trouble "getting" what is so funny about this movie. The performances by Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and Seth Rogan are excellent (hilarious), and Jane Lynch (Best of Show, For Your Consideration) easily steals the scenes in the electronics shop where much of the movie takes place. If you liked "Ron Bergundy" Anchorman," you will like this movie. It is the sort of squirming comedy that makes you laugh and groan at the same time. I was prepared to dislike the film the first time I saw it, and was very surprised at how very funny it is.
