- Reviewed in Canada on August 11, 2024I recently purchased the Patio Cushions Cover Storage Bag and found it to be less effective than expected, particularly in terms of water resistance.
Durability and Material:
The bag is constructed from 210D Oxford cloth, which is advertised as waterproof, UV-resistant, tear-resistant, and fade-resistant. While it does offer some level of protection, it fell short in rain. Despite its claims, the bag would failed to keep the cushions dry when exposed to significant moisture as the zipper is loose, the cloth material is not at all water proof (just good for storage of cushion in door or under another water proof patio furniture cover). Given this performance, I have doubts about its effectiveness in snow or severe weather conditions.
Design and Features:
The bag includes several useful design features such as anti-strangulation Velcro straps, a reinforced bottom strap, and a long zipper top opening for easy access. The durable handles are practical for transportation. However, the zipper quality is notably poor, feeling cheap and fragile.
Performance Issues:
The main issue is the bag's inability to hold up against rain. It does not provide the waterproof protection needed for heavy downpours, so I had to use an additional waterproof cover to ensure the cushions remain dry. This additional step somewhat defeats the purpose of having a dedicated storage bag. The bag's performance in snow remains questionable.
Ease of Use and Maintenance:
Cleaning the bag is straightforward—just clean with soft cloth and let it dry in the sun. The extra-large size is convenient for storing cushions or other items, but the limited weather protection is a significant drawback. Definitely not worth the price, i would have loved to only pay 10-12$ at max.
