I wanted to address some of the negative reviews that almost stopped me from purchasing- thankfully the positive feedback was detailed enough I was able to infer they might be ok.
They are better than ok!
As someone who has had many dentist made night guards I know the importance of a proper fit and the ability to stay where placed.
I misplaced yet another one of my custom made guards and couldn鈥檛 find it for a few nights, I have terrible teeth clenching, jam clenching and I also bite myself due to the clenching and grinding I do.
Basically if I didn鈥檛 wear one, I would have no teeth!
I still even with religious use of my night gaurds still have teeth pressure fractures yearly.
So I can say with confidence I NEED a gaurd that works!
I鈥檝e tried to boil and mold ones and hated them, they never fit right or comfortable.
These however are so easy! And I can鈥檛 imagine anyone鈥檚 mouth not fitting them!
They look small out of the package yes, but they literally bend outwards or inwards to any formation almost a 180 degrees if you wanted to go that far with the direction.
The 1st night I wore it, I did wake up without it, however there are times I鈥檝e done that in my sleep with my other sets as well. So I tried again, and sure as can be woke up all following mornings with it in my mouth. I feel like it鈥檚 more comfortable than my custom made one as well.
I鈥檝e since found my $600 one, and I鈥檓 still using these.
I really like the material as it鈥檚 not super hard and has a little chew/gummy-ness to it, so when I clench, my body almost naturally releases being it likely feels like not-my teeth. ( I鈥檓 sure I鈥檓 not explaining this well, but like it being softer my brain is saying it鈥檚 no my bottom teeth and to not press so hard)
I also LOVE that I can travel with these! Or even bring a set to wear in the car - another time I find myself clenching a lot. I can talk a lot easier in them as well.
I wear them on the top, and I barely notice it鈥檚 there - even after years of my customs I always knew it was there, these disappear almost the way they fit.
I will for sure be cleaning them for longer wear ability but I will also be getting more - so if you鈥檙e like me, and need a second option to a custom night guard GET it! Don鈥檛 listen to the negative reviews they either have the mouths of sharks in terms of size lol or want a refund bc I鈥檓 not sure why these aren鈥檛 sold everywhere!
