- Reviewed in Canada on September 4, 2011Brida is a young Irish woman who begins a journey down two very distinct spiritual paths: The mystical tradition of the Sun, and the magical tradition of the Moon. Thoes with a mystical bent will gravitate toward the mystical traditions of the East. Thoes with a magical bent will gravitate toward the magical traditions of the West. Neither is greater or lesser for they both represent two sides of the same coin and Brida, lucky girl, finds a teacher in both! The story is brimming with spiritual nuggets throughout, however, the ending fell flat for me. After savouring it like a rich, sweet, piece of birthday cake I was left with a bitter after-taste.
