    With a dozen bulb-type LEDs, it throws a decent amount of UV light, although it's fairly short range. Battery life seems OK for its design and LED type.

    EDIT: After a few more days, these seem to work fine with either rechargeables or regular ol' alkaline batteries, so I'd recommend getting rechargeables. Lights up my glow in the dark Zippo just fine! d=O)
