Customer Review

The battery is advertised as a WH-1000XM3 compatible replacement. The 2 pin female connector does not fit the pins on the circuit board, as the pitch of the pins is greater than those provided by the connector included with the battery.

You will need to cut off the existing connector of the original WH-1000XM3 connector and splice it to the replacement battery. As noted in the description, a heat shrink tube is provided for the splice operation, however, at this point, you will already need to have solder, a soldering iron, and a wire stripper. If you have the above, you're going to already have the heat shrink or electrical tape on hand.

Once that's done, the battery works -- it's just a battery so I'm not going to associate my review with any battery performance -- if you are replacing the battery you either want your headphones to work again or extend the battery life. At 1200 mAh vs. the 1000 mAh, I take for granted that the battery life will exceed the Sony stock battery.

    Some tips for the seller:
    - Include the right connector from the start
    - If there are multiple connector types for the WH-1000XM3, include the connector type variations with the product so I don't need to cut off and desolder the connector from the battery I may not have anymore.

The battery replacement operation is easy enough, even for someone untrained in electronics. However, to label this as a WH-1000XM3 replacement without clarifying directly is misleading and unethical.
