Bought this to replace an old 10" $300 sub on recommendations and wow what a difference. This thing is truly sub-sonic and rattles the couch, cupboard, and dishes. Used in an open L-shaped 900 sq ft room for our home theater, this thing is powerful, loud, and deep. I think the PB-1000 Pro would have been enough for my needs, but I wanted to make sure it would be powerful enough at higher reference level volumes, and it is. After connecting and tuning it to about 50% volume and placed in the corner, it was time to sit back and feel the rumble. Watching Saving Private Ryan beach landing and later tank attack, this sub impressed with deep, tight, rumbling bass. Next up Avatar where Eya heard their calls for help and all the creatures stampede - wow. Next Star Wars Clone Wars opening scene where the senator's ship explodes - the impact of the explosion hits hard like you're there - wow again. Then the digital release of Black Adam where he appears and takes on the inter-gang choppers and ground assault - wow again. DD+ or DTS required for the powerful sound tracks.
I have nothing bad to say about this sub. Yes it's pricey and it's big, about the size of a large end table, but it has massive output that truly extends into subsonic depths with power and precision. Highly recommended.
