An excellent history of the building of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The brilliant personalities surrounding its creation bring the book alive with narrative. Wish there was more from Ottawa and that John A. was a bigger part of the narrative - but overall, excellent. Bown focusing his talents on Canadian history is a gift. Long may it continue.
