I researched space heaters for a while as I needed to replace my Noma tower heater that stopped working. The Dreo got good reviews online and I took the plunge. It's definitely a quality product, looks great, sleek and has a great remote. It's very quiet compared to my Noma.
The problem was it simply doesn't have the fan output to heat any medium sized room. The noma was the same wattage (1500w) so in theory it should heat the room at the same rate as this Dreo. Unfortunately, the little heater just couldn't spread the heat around fast enough.
I used to put my old heater in the dining room to heat it up for breakfast without turning the entire house heat on. It would get comfortable within about 5-10 minutes. Ditto for the basement. The Dreo wouldn't even get the room to the same temp in 1 HOUR, both upstairs and in the basement. I think 'eventually' given physics, it would warm the room but it just doesn't circulate the heat fast enough due to a weak fan. If you stand right next to it, you feel the heat, but not even a few feet away.
It's rather unfortunate as I REALLY liked this heater. I think it would probably work fine for a very small room but not very useful for any medium or larger room. Back to the drawing board...
