Customer Review

I wanted to try punch needle embroidery for the first time and this kit basically gave me everything I could hope for. I think it's a really good value so I have no complaints there. The only thing I needed to provide was some fabric to learn on (I used some old cut up dress shirts). I will say that the thicker yarn is useless to me because the colours are quite ugly and the material is very cheap and synthetic so I don't use it. There is great variety in the embroidery floss. The hoops are plastic and they are okay-- the material sometimes slips as I'm working so I can picture wood hoops being better in the long run, but these are still good, especially for a beginner. I use one of the small needle heads with the blue metal "handle"... this attaches by simply pushing them together. This is something else that loosens as you work and sometimes separates, which is annoying. It is also very small and uncomfortable to hold. I would invest in something more substantial long term. All of this sounds negative, but I just want to provide as much information as possible.

*TL;DR:* This is an awesome beginner's kit that gives you everything you need to get started. If you want to find out if you like this hobby, $30 isn't much to spend for a complete kit. It also arrives in a very nice box with a bow that is nice enough to gift right out of the box.
