Mouse trap? This is defintely a rat trap! These things are HUGE! I honestly think if the mouse was not near the edge of the jaw that it would be safely trapped inside waiting to be released when you checked it. That is not a detractor though, because not all mice will step fully inside as i can contest after killing 4 mice in my garage so far. These trigger very easily so be careful when adding the bait!
