- Reviewed in Canada on May 13, 2022A really fine coffee roasting machine, specially for the reasonable price. Much better than my previous method, using, a hand-cranked popcorn popper on a BBQ side-burner. Need to keep an eye on the roasting as it nears the end point as it's easy to over-roast the beans, turning them into charcoal. The beans will increase in volume (this is normal) and shortly thereafter they will be at dark city roast and ready to dump out and cool down. I use two large inexpensive woks for this, pouring the beans back and forth while outside, any breeze will take way the chaff. The glass cover is easy to clean using warm water and dish soap, there does not seem to be any oil accumulating on the teflon base, which I wipe down with a soft dishcloth after each roasting session.
