AH the ultimate milk hack ! Instead of buying a whole carton of milk, I exclusively use milk for my chai tea. And not just any milk, mind you, but Canadian dairy with absolutely no fillers. It's the real deal! No- not a blend and go- needs 'patient' mixin to avoid clumping. Read on.
MY USES: smoothies, soups, baking, facial, milk/cookies , hot choc, pancakes -great pantry staple, for multiple and many uses. For beverages, perfect if made in advance. For recipes which involve dry milk powder, this adds flavor, and texture. For soups thickening and extra protein, and the creaminess achieved without the fat of CREAM. Versatile ingredient that can elevate smoothies (2 tablespoons in a fruit protein smoothie tastes YUM.), milkshakes, ice cream, even home made yogurt. - very handy for seniors, or as a emergency supply pantry. Face mask/body scrub - with this softens/exfoliates
Tips -I've found that a 90% dissolve ratio works wonders. Simply mix 4 tablespoons of nonfat dry milk powder with 1 cup of warm " NOT HOT" water, and stir until it's completely dissolved. mixes flawlessly with a handheld whisk, Voila! just add more powder to achieve that rich creamy consistency, more thick= higher powered blender. -milk powder stays as fresh as possible, keep the extra in a trusty ziplock bag in the fridge. No worry about it absorbing any unwanted fridge smells. Vegan, this milk powder can come in handy. I Keep it around for those non-vegan friends who can't resist a good cup of latte. Say goodbye to cartons and hello to the convenience and deliciousness of milk powder. Your tea (and other treats) will thank you for it. sharing is caring-hope this helps somewhat 馃檶
