  We bought this plastic to do a thermal wrap of our windows for the winter and it works great. It's thick, sturdy, and resistant to tearing. You also get an insane amount of plastic for the price. However, it is NOT clear, so you will not be able to see details outside of your house/apartment. This issue is tolerable because it still lets in the sunlight and is only temporary (for the winter months). Also, the temperature between the plastic and window is 8 C less than the measured temperature of the house, which means that the plastic is definitely helping in blocking drafts and cold.
