I personally prefer high speed steel to carbide. You run into 1 nail, and your carbine blows to bits. Hit a nail with high speed steel, no problem. Flip the blade and keep going.
Quality is great. Packaging is stout. Comes in a nice little case. Value is superb. Currently over 1000 linear feet at about 1/16" passes. Still havnt flipped the blade nor changed it. Ran into two nails, minor chipping on the blade (totally expected). No shattering. Cuts smooth.
