Customer Review

The basic camera install and set up was easy in my 2013 RAM. You do need the appropriate tools to remove some interior trim (Phillips screwdriver, metric sockets and torx bits).

I added the optional hardwire kit. This required some wiring skills as the lines are not long enough to go through the firewall to the fuse box in the engine compartment (which looked to be a job and a half anyway). Fortunately the correct 12V power supply wires (one full time and one switched) are available under the centre console. You need to remove all the stuff on top of the console: trim ring, shifter handle and indicator and the cup holder/ tray assembly to gain access. I've no idea where you bench seat folk will find the appropriate wires. It was then just a matter of splicing into these wires, finding a good ground and then putting everything back together again. About a 3 hour job if you have all the right tools, splicing clips and a good idea of how everything comes apart (lots of Youtube videos explain all that.)

I've had the cameras installed for over a month now and so far they are working flawlessly.
