  The tool I received was used despite my purchasing selection as New; the product packaging was open and the tool itself had many scuff marks such as dents and scratches.
  
  That said, the tool still functions properly but I do not know if it'll have longevity issues due to being used. I need to continue using it for some ongoing work otherwise I would have returned or exchanged it.
  
  As for other issues, the crimping notch for dovetail clips could be better as it doesn't result in them being fully flush against the cable finish since the tool's alignment is somewhat off so it still requires some work to get the clips fully wrapped around if you're using these kinds of plug heads. As another reviewer pointed out, this tool will not work properly to crimp dovetail clips for most thick cables that contain splines.
