  I used this to replace an outdoor cover outside my door for a security camera installation. It replaced the old cover in minutes and the unit itself is so deep that I was able to house the security camera power supply, a small extension cord because the power supply is too wide and not able to be plugged in directly, plus a very large amount of power supply electrical cord slack. I was amazed how I was able to fit it all in, close the lid and then I used a zap strap to secure it closed at the spot where you would normally place a lock. This truly saved the day, housing all that inside and leaving a very neat looking job behind.
