Customer Review

This movie has great style - and always distinctly Wes Anderson while at the same time never the same as his previous films - but this one falls flat for me. Generally unlikable characters, clunky dialogue, and nothing memorable except for the sushi preparation sequence and The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band song, this one is a lack-luster follow up to the exciting Grand Budapest Hotel. If you want a visually appealing film, you'll get that. But if you want a good movie (especially a good Wes film) you might be disappointed. Check out The Darjeeling Limited for a better searchers film, or Moonrise Kingdom for a romantic one.
