  The expensive toaster we've been using for 8 or 9 years kicked it and I couldn't justify spending the crazy price a lot of toasters seem to go for now. After reading reviews I decides to give this one a try as the price was more reasonable. Well, you get what you pay for I guess. Best I can say is this one is okay. I mean, it does toast. But it is very, very slow - about twice as long to toast as the one I replaced. And it's inconsistent as hell. The same setting provides very different results on the left and right. And even using the same side, toast results are pretty all over the place each time you use it. On top of that, the cord is quite short, making it a bit awkward to use. Really wasn't happy with it so I just spent more to buy another new one that is the same brand as the old one that stopped working, and IT is a much better toaster. I wouldn't recommend this one.
