I caught one after setting them up immediately after getting the traps. I did 5 peanut butter and 5 nutella. The mice prefer the nutella. Then one night caught nothing and the following night caught the second mouse. It's dark as it was under my desk and the light one was in the kitchen by the heater. Last night another one was in my room. It didn't get caught so I might switch it as the trap has peanut butter not nutella. I think there was at least one breeding pair so hoping they get caught before any babies happen. Someone saw some in our boiler heating room and said that they were going after his plants. I suggested what traps to get if they don't already have them. Once these mice were so bold and unafraid that they were biting my toes. I think one also had mites. I'm glad they are gone. These are great traps. I not thinking picked up one the wrong way and I didn't get hit by it so they are sturdy.
Update: So far I've caught 6 mice. There is at least one more that is rather fearless and had at one point got into a package of sprouts seeds. So far it doesn't seem to want nutella or peanut butter. I might try a nori(seaweed) snack sheet piece since it seems to like seeds or greens. Someone else suggested celery but I don't have any. I've noticed they must have found a way around snapping them occasionally as a few had all the bait gone but no mouse. Another time I thought I heard it go off and catch one only to check all traps and find them still unsnapped.
