- Accurate (as far as I can tell)
- Light on the device has a different color depending on your heart rate. I think you can change the range using the app but I haven鈥檛 tried this.
- Lightweight
- Decent battery life, easily lasts a full day, 10+ hours. I typically charge after long rides just in case
- Arm, rather than chest. Personal preference, but I prefer the sensor on my arm rather than the chest
- Ant+, works with various phone apps, bike computers, some Garmin watches
- Price is OK. Not the cheapest but far from the most expensive and decent value given the features.
- Easily pairs with my Coospo bike computer. Never had any issues.
- Vibrates when your heart rate hits 180, and it's strong enough to notice.
Cons
- I don鈥檛 like the proprietary magnetic charger, I鈥檇 be happier with USB C and a cap to keep it waterproof. Chargers in my house always go missing and it鈥檚 inconvenient when I bike to work since I never take it with
- Wish the strap was a bit more stretchy. If it is too tight it鈥檚 uncomfortable, but not tight enough and it slides down. It鈥檚 OK for road for the most part, but definitely slips a bit when mountain biking
- Doesn鈥檛 fit like a watch, it doesn鈥檛 adjust small enough to be worn at the wrist. I was hoping it would at first. I wear it just below my elbow and that works well enough.
I got this so I can see my heart rate on my bike computer when I ride. I鈥檝e got a watch with heart rate, but that is too inconvenient (and dangerous at times) to try to keep an eye on when I ride. It鈥檚 a shame since I already have the info. Sure the watch likely isn鈥檛 as accurate, but it would have been good enough for me if it worked with my computer.
I got this to ensure I keep up my heart rate to get a good workout. But it also is there to keep me from getting carried away. When I see some dude passing me on a steep climb on his shiny 10 pound road bike I tell myself 鈥測ou got this. Game on!鈥. But the sensor is telling me 鈥渉old on old man, your heart is already cranking 170鈥. So needless to say we have a bit of a love hate relationship.
