  This raised seat provides the needed security for a person who needs arms to push up from in a bathroom with limited space. So happy I ordered this for my Mom. The slots that are used to secure the seat to the toilet are long, and could potentially allow the seat to slide. I took my cue from an earlier review, and filled the empty space with trimmed wine corks; it is now very secure. Perhaps Carex could create small "dams" that would fit easily and would require no "trimming", but this solution works well.
