- Reviewed in Canada on February 21, 2021The only reason I purchased this was for the stainless steel carafe. After accidentally breaking the carafe in my other Black and Decker coffee maker and finding out they didn鈥檛 have replacements, I decided on this model. If you don鈥檛 care about potentially breaking your carafe, I see no reason to buy this over other coffee makers.
Cons:
-can be a little difficult to slid the carafe back in as other reviews mentioned
-the 鈥淧erfect Pour鈥 spout isn鈥檛 so perfect. When making smaller pots it has spilled several times
-some reviews mentioned it鈥檚 easy to clean since it has a large opening. While the opening is large there is also a lip so I wouldn鈥檛 say it鈥檚 easier than other models
-the lid doesn鈥檛 open much at all, barely past 90 degrees, so filling the reservoir up is kind of annoying
-I don鈥檛 typically leave my coffee in the carafe for long, but when I do I don鈥檛 find it keeps the coffee hot for hours as claimed. The longest I鈥檝e left it is probably 2 hours and when I poured the coffee it was almost room temperature (lid was securely closed)
Pros:
-stainless steel carafe is likely impossible to break, although I do potentially see an issue with the button on the lid that you push to pour coffee, it seems pretty flimsy
Overall, pretty cheap and dated coffee maker but the stainless steel carafe is a plus. Hopefully it lasts.
