  I saw this style on TV and fell in love with them as a great dinner party idea (less likely to get knocked over). They're also great for throwing in the dishwasher, vs. standard champagne glasses. I guess it's not technically ideal that you're holding (and warming) the glass, but most people drink quickly at dinner parties anyhow - right? ;)
