- Reviewed in Canada on May 22, 2025I鈥檝e been using this rear camera for about two months, and I鈥檓 very disappointed with its performance. It seemed fine at first, but serious problems have developed over time.
Although the video doesn鈥檛 show typical noise, the image feels like it鈥檚 floating 鈥 not stable or grounded, especially when reversing. This makes judging distance difficult and unsafe.
After it rains, the image becomes blurry and light gets scattered across the screen. Visibility drops dramatically, and the camera becomes practically useless while driving. This is a major safety concern.
One more issue: since this unit replaces your original rearview mirror, you lose direct access to the car鈥檚 original mirror. That鈥檚 fine in dry weather, but during rain or low visibility, you may find yourself without a reliable way to see what鈥檚 behind you 鈥 which can be dangerous.
Also, every time I turn off the car, the clock resets and I have to set the time all over again. Very annoying and unacceptable.
Even using the original recommended cables, the quality remains poor. For your own safety and peace of mind, I do not recommend this product.
