- Reviewed in Canada on February 17, 2014Been looking for a julienne peeler for asian cooking! And after searching for months this seems to be the best product out there at the the right price. Made in Japan so I trust the quality of thie product. The three blades it comes with allows me to create the right thickness of cuts for vegetables. The adjustable screws on the one I received are metal (unlike some reviews I read have plastic screws). Small and compact for easy cleaning and storing. Would have liked to get some kind of protective casing or cover to store the extra blades (will have to find a solution for that). Getting a glove will probably be helpful as all julienne/vegetable slicers are pretty dangerous, even if it comes with the guard... it's doesnt really work with small pieces and oddly shaped vegetables. Definitely think about the largest size vegetable you need to cut. If you want to cut more larger vegetables such as cabbage, then go for the jumbo/super benriner. Otherwise this size is great for most things. I didn't get the smaller (green version) so I can't really tell how much wider the ivory 3.5 wide one is.
