  This is actually a very high quality commode. While you have to assemble it which is a bit tedious, it is relatively easy to do. My father-in-law is having difficulty making it to the bathroom overnight so we have set this up beside his bed and while he says its not the most comfortable thing to sit on (I mean, is any commode comfortable?), it has a lid to cover the pot and keep the smell down until someone is able to empty it for him, and the handlebars made it easy for him to transfer himself and get up and down on his own. The legs have rubber bottoms to prevent it from sliding around and the bucket is easy to remove for emptying.
