My mature mother is experiencing a temporary loss of bladder control due to pre-existing health issues and often cannot walk to the washroom in time. The availability of this portable commode was extremely timely and I purchased it for her.
The commode itself feels sturdy and I assembled it in approximately 20 minutes (assembly instructions are included). It weighs about 10 pounds and is easy to pick up and move around. It can also be used as a shower chair and a bedside chair to assist with rising from bed (although care should be exercised as the chair cannot be fixed in place on the floor and will move if weight is applied against it).
The bucket is well-designed for use and convenience as there is a carry handle and a lid.
The height of the chair is adjustable to five different heights and is comfortable for prolonged use.
My mother keeps the commode chair right beside her bed and uses it several times a day. She finds it to be comfortable and both sitting down onto the chair and rising up from it are straight-forward as long as she is aware that she should not lean onto it as the feet cannot be locked in place on the floor.
As long as one's personal safety is kept in mind while using this chair, it is a time-saving and much-needed aid.
