- Reviewed in Canada on March 30, 2022I have combination skin (early 50's) and my kids have oily teen skin. I purchased this after trying more oily skin products from drugstore that were not being effective for them, and this line was recommended by doctor.
Well, we use the cleanser (green) for normal to oily and must say, like that so far. Just been a week. Not sure exactly what this is for (does not feel like a typical toner which I always equated with kind of leaving a tight feeling. I have used astringent ones in the past and always used a Clinique one as an adult).
This doesn't feel like that at all - and I love it. I think it takes off any cleanser residue if used after a cleanser, and maybe restores your PH level, but man, it leaves your skin feeling nice. Kind of dewy. I can see that this would prevent your skin from pumping out oil to replace whatever was lost from cleansing. It's not a heavy, sticky feeling, just dewy.
So nice, that I can skip my light Clinique moisturizer. I can see just using a light sunscreen honestly over this alone.
Been reading up and I think you could just use this alone (wash face once a day and then this as a cleanser even say at night, or reverse depending on when you wash your face). What I like is if my kids skip washing their face, it's nothing for them to swipe a pad with this over their skin to keep it somewhat clean.
I love this stuff. Hours after using it this morning, my skin still feels lovely and soft. I don't look particularly oily in the t zone after using this and the cleanser (only) this morning, and it's noon. Pretty decent.
