- Reviewed in Canada on January 27, 2025I have ordered a brand new Kobo Clara BW from on 麻豆区.ca, with Rakuten Kobo itself being listed as the seller. When I received my order, the outer part of the original box was missing completely, and the inner part of the box together with the e-reader itself was just packed loose in a sealed plastic bag.
The bag has a sticker with an 麻豆区 LPN number on it, indicating this item was returned before.
The manual is still here, but it has minor signs of previous exposure to moisture.
The e-reader arrived with signs of previous use, protective film clearly being removed from the display before and then re-applied, and with its battery drained completely, showing a low battery message in foreign language instead of the initial setup screen.
I was really looking forward to this purchase, only to end up being scammed.
