  I know S Video is a definite upgrade to an old system with a composite cord but if the cord is cheap it can actually look worse. Even if you're determined to get good quality cords, they can be tricky to find. So, sometimes, you take a risk. I felt like I had on this one because of the price point and in the end it turned out to be just okay. The difference in quality on my N64 was about the same. It was definitely not worse but I struggled to notice an improvement. You would have to take a screen capture with both cords and place them side by side to get a definitive answer - I am not able to do this other than with a cell phone. The cords work and work well. No hum or noise with my setup. Delivery was fast. Good price point.
