  Had a recurring, bad infestation with the large, intimidating carpenter ants. For years I tried various products and methods (caulking cracks in the floor etc) - to no avail. Then I found this liquid product.
  
  I placed two cartridges right on the floor in a corner where they're not easily kicked by mistake. Unlike with the Raid-branded products which ants simply ignore, it didn't take long before the ants started piling up on the cartridge to feed themselves and to share the delicacy with the other family members. Don't ask me how ants carry liquid back to the nest. I don't know how, but it seems like they do, because it didn't take two full days for them to disappear completely.
  
  I understand that this is just a temporary measure and another colony may return at a later time, but since the fix is so easy, those won't last long ;-) Much better than having professional pest control fumigate your home with potent chemicals; and the ants will be back in that case too. I highly recommend this product; it truly works as advertised, at least for carpenter ants.
