Customer Review

Who would have thought that an expensive pencil sharpener can make a big difference? But my goodness does it ever! I've been using inexpensive sharpeners on my nice pencil crayons, but I thought I would splurge and get this sharpener when I got my first set or Premiers. And, it is like night and day! Sharpening is also effortless, points come out perfect every time, and I haven't broken a lead yet. Although I bought this for my Premiers, I've also tried it with Marco Raffine, Prismacolour Scholars, and good old Crayola pencil crayons, and the results have been great with all of them.

The sharpener is easy to empty (just pop off the top). I also like that the sides are translucent so it is easy to see when the container is full. There is also a cover over the top of the sharpener holes, which helps to both protect the blades and to stop shavings from escaping.

I also have Prismacolor's Scholar sharpener, but I feel that this one does better job. It also has a larger container, two holes for sharpening (one for sharp points and one or medium points) as opposed to the Scholar sharpener's one hole, and is more comfortable to hold.
