Customer Review

Installed on a Honda pioneer 1000-5, install was reletively easy. The wiring harness makes it pretty hassle free to make wire connections then feed it through the dash to the head unit. The head unit looks great, pretty much identical to the Rockford unit if you ask me. It would be nice if they ran Bluetooth album art to the screen just the Bluetooth symbol all the time is kind of a negetive but it's not a huge deal. I have this system running 2 roof mounted Sony marine speakers and wired bridged, it pushes a good amount of sound out of the speakers. The issue I have with sound quality is there is definitely a hiss when not playing music, also anything past about 34 volume it gets pretty dirty and distorted. Most of the time I wouldn't run it that loud as that's quite a lot of volume.

I have had no issues with connecting the Bluetooth to my phone, music always plays and next track, last track, play pause all seem to work well. One thing to mention is the unit isn't quite 3 inches you need for the hole. I found a 3 inch hole saw was probably 2mm too small to get the unit to seat, I had to take a dremal with sandpaper to widen the hole slightly to get it to seat, just expect to need to make the hole a bit bigger.

Overall I'd recommend this for use in any off road vehicle, I wouldn't pay the extra 300 cnd to buy the Rockford knowing this is probably the same unit. Also customer service seems good, they contacted me after I ordered to see how everything went.
