works fine, but mounting tape is weak.

Other than the double-sided tape being a little weak, it worked fine. I suggest using some tape close to the where the USB cable attaches to the light strip. The weight of the cable tends to make the double-sided tape let go. I found a small piece of duct tape positioned to relieve the stress fixed the issue.
