  This hand grip is solid and does the job after I made an adjustment. As delivered, the two flat surfaces that attach to the wall were misaligned. If one end was flat against the wall the other was not. Eventually I discovered you can twist the misaligned side into position until both surfaces were flat against the wall. Just be aware it takes considerable force to twist into the correct position. After that the bar mounts perfectly and provides a solid safety grip.
