  I replaced my previous space heater with a Lasko 754201 unit that was said to be quiet (by Consumer's Reports), but while the Lasko heater put out adequate heat at a good velocity, it was hardly quiet. Given that I use a heater constantly, I decided to try this Dreo heater based on reply comments to a question I posted on �鶹�� about the unit. The unit is quiet, and I'm quite happy with my purchase; I'd give it five stars, except that there's a faint high pitched whine, which is not obtrusive. I enjoy having the remote control, which can be muted - note that Lasko remotes cannot be muted, so every time a setting is changed, an annoying "beep" sounds, which is disruptive to peace and quiet - something spouses need if they're snoozing!
