  This remote does exactly what the description says it does. You get full remote control of the camera with a nice, smooth zoom, access to most of the features and settings, and an easy setup experience.
  
  What I don't understand is why it costs $60 CAD. As best I can tell it's a simple Bluetooth remote with limited range and a tiny button-cell battery. Without being an industry expert, I'd estimate that there's no more than $3 worth of electronics in it (what DOESN'T have Bluetooth in it these days?). There are much cheaper remotes on the market, but most of them won't give you access to anything more than a remote shutter release.
  
  It's also worth pointing out that newer Nikon cameras like the P1000 give you full access to SmartBridge. Download the free app, and your phone becomes an even more powerful version of this remote.
