  This little cable worked great for me on an M1 MacBook Air. I recently switched from Win11 to MacOS and needed this to connect an external USB drive full of my data. MacOS detected the drive immediately and allowed me to transfer all the data I've accumulated over the years quite easily and so much faster than having to send it over WiFi. Everything transferred and nothing was corrupted. Very happy and even if I never use this cable again it was worth the cost for a hassle free transfer of my data onto the new MacBook.
