  Pros: I have a port cover on my iPhone to protect from dirt and lint so it’s a pain to plug/unplug a physical cable. I also had intermittent loss of connection (had to unplug wait 30 seconds a plug again) which I assumed was from road bumps jiggling the cable. I bought this to address both. It addresses the first but with some cons. The loss of connection still happens (not as often) but the benefit is that this unit automatically reconnects.
  Overall it works well though, audio is good and all CarPlay functions/apps have worked.
  
  Cons: It takes about 20-30 seconds to connect after starting the car. I’ve found that if I don’t wait for it to finish connecting, it might not connect (hangs). I assume this is a bug between my car’s CarPlay (2018 Subaru Crosstrek) and my iPhone 11 but the switch to backup camera causes the issue.
  There is also a 1 to 3 second pause between audio play/pause operations when compared to hard wired.
  Audio doesn’t automatically continue playing from where you paused on the iPhone, like it does with physical cables.
  
  Other: I’d recommend using with a charge pad for the phone.
