Our son is 21 months / 27 lbs. and fairly slim. The medium size (rated for 24-34 lbs.) fits but is very snug. I don鈥檛 think he will be able to fit in them beyond 30 lbs., I鈥檇 recommend sizing up unless your child is at the bottom of the sizing chart.
