- Reviewed in Canada on April 6, 2025I ordered these because I was hoping to make my own 30 amp extension cable to use for my teardrop trailer. The one I have is only 25 ft long and I find that sometimes it doesn't reach the post at the campsite.
When I opened the box, I was surprised at how small these adapters seem compared to the ones that are on my existing cable. The plug fits the receptacle okay and when opened up, the interior has plenty of room to connect the cable wires, but the ABS plastic itself just feels subpar to me. Not the quality that I was expecting.
While these adapters do the job and have a cETL certification, I just wish they felt more durable. Last year I purchased both a male and female receptacle adapter at a retail store and the difference in quality is significant in my opinion.
Also, while the listing claims that PEAKTOW is a Canadian owned and operated company (it is, as an online sales channel) the product itself is made in China.
In summary, this adapter set will do the job. They are an inexpensive alternative to the better quality ones that you would pay more for at an RV or retail store. I will use them for my standby extension cord this summer.
