  I bought this for our 6 year old granddaughter. At first she was mildly curious, definitely not excited. However after she started creating her own pictures (castles, houses etc) she didn't stop for two hours. She loves it. It is well made. The board base is a glued plywood, not particle board. It is solid and nicely finished. Each peg is metal with smooth caps. They are each recessed into the wood, hammered or screwed into the board and each one is also glued. The elastics are thicker than the usual cheap elastics but not so thick they are difficult to use by kids. This is one of the better quality products for the price. It inspires creativity. I would definitely buy it again.
