  We bought this blender for smoothies. It works well and is easy to use. However the plastic top is flimsy and is difficult to take on and off. It should have been threaded, but that would have cost more. In fact, the first one we ordered had to returned because it arrived cracked in the box. The top for this blender needs to be re-designed.
